Support Worker to join our newly Ofsted Registered Home in Wimbledon.
This is a rewarding role where you will make a positive impact on the
lives of vulnerable individuals and contribute to their overall
well-being and development.
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality care and support to residents in accordance with their individual care plans
Promote independence and encourage residents to develop life skills
Create a safe and nurturing environment for residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met
Support residents in their daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration
Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and external professionals
Encourage and facilitate residents' participation in social and recreational activities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of residents' progress and any incidents or concerns
Collaborate with the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the home and adherence to policies and procedures
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably within a residential care setting
Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including safeguarding procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents and colleagues
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
