Job Title: Residential Support Worker

Location: Wimbledon, London

Rate/Salary: £13.30 per hour

We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Residential Support Worker to join our newly Ofsted Registered Home in Wimbledon. This is a rewarding role where you will make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable individuals and contribute to their overall well-being and development.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care and support to residents in accordance with their individual care plans
  • Promote independence and encourage residents to develop life skills
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met
  • Support residents in their daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and external professionals
  • Encourage and facilitate residents' participation in social and recreational activities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of residents' progress and any incidents or concerns
  • Collaborate with the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the home and adherence to policies and procedures

Qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably within a residential care setting
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including safeguarding procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents and colleagues
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
